Sales Job Letter The Best Words To Sell Your Skills

When you write a Sales Job Letter, you need to focus the best words that sell your skills. The easiest way to do that is to match your CV action words to the language of the job advert.

Use skill descriptions to illustrate your successes and to make an impact for selling jobs, where results are what count. One of the key issues for selling jobs is the ability to form trusted relationships with customers and clients.

In your cover letter and CV, try to use statements like this:

I have an exceptional ability to develop trusted, long term client relationships by demonstrating an understanding of their needs and their business pressures. This enables me to build effective partnerships and retain my customers by a diplomatic and professional approach to account management.

Below, I'm going to show you an example of a covering letter that I recently prepared for one of my clients who was applying for a Head of UK Sales job position.

The advert, taken from The Grocer, which is an excellent source of food sector, FMCG and retailing jobs used words like this in the job ad:

"My client needs not only a first rate commercial manager, but they also need someone who has the ability to start from scratch and build the business."

"...the normal commercial management duties, but other areas to control and influence such as logistics and being aware of the orders and product flow in to the business."

"...managing the day to day issues with the existing customers as well as dealing with both longer term strategic objectives, building firm relationships with new and existing customers, helping drive the business forward."

This senior Sales job letter uses exactly the right blend of language which is similar in tone to the job advert and it should give you a good idea of how to construct your own sales letters.
