As a Personal Assistant to a director or senior manager you'll be responsible for ensuring that your boss's time is properly managed with careful diary management, travel arrangements and coordination of all demands including replying to emails and/or letters when required, reading and analysing strategic documents and subsequent preparation of reports, briefing papers and presentations. Providing a consistent telephone presence and delivering customer service to internal / external Stakeholders.

Depending on the size of the organization, and the respective seniority of your boss, you may also be required to deal with human resources, marketing, logistics, information technology, customer service and finance. Your Personal Assistant Cover Letter will also need to demonstrate that you have:

  • Team working and organisation; problem solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent organisation and multi-tasking demonstrated by the ability to juggle a number ofpriorities and meet demanding deadlines whilst remaining approachable.

I am also considered as mature, energetic and hardworking as well as being able to maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters whilst displaying excellent judgement and initiative when required.

Within my attached CV you will note the following points of experience which emphasise my suitability for this position:

  • My highly developed interpersonal skills; I am discreet and sensitive in dealing with people and my excellent communication skills, verbal and written used in producing accurate letters and reports, spread sheets and meeting materials; presentations, agendas and minutes.
  • I am skilled at scheduling meetings and conferences; diary management and co-ordination of day to day demands with the ability to prepare meeting materials such as Power Point presentations, agendas and minutes.
  • Extensively experienced at screening all phonecalls and dealing with correspondence as directed.
  • My strong analytical skills with understanding of financial information and familiarity with daily business operations including planning and prioritising, arranging payments, financial monitoring and preparation of progress reports.
  • Strong IT skills and use of MS Office programmes: Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook.
