HR CV For Human Resources Professional

This example of an HR CV will explain exactly how you might put your own CV into great shape. Don't try to include the whole of your background, with details of everything you've ever done because you only need to include what is relevant to your job application.

This means that your CV should not need to be any longer than two pages which makes the reader's life a lot simpler. You can explain anything else about your background at the interview stage.

Go straight to HR CV Example on this page. Further down the page, there is also a link for an HR cover letter and a page about HR jobs.

When you put your CV together, what is most important to show is the level and depth of your experience, the length of your relevant experience and whether you have the appropriate qualifications and memberships such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

If you make your CV too long, you run the risk of it being put to one side, so try to headline your experience and make it stand out with some well chosen, succinctly worded achievements.

Making It Interesting

As with any type of CV, the first few lines will tell the reader enough to make a decision about reading the rest or rejecting your job application altogether, so make it interesting. These first few lines must focus the reader's mind on what you bring to the table: the summary should be just that - a summary of what makes you unique.

Complement that part of your CV with a strong set of 'Core Competences' which define the skill set which you bring with you and illustrates how you will add value to the prospective employer's organisation.

If you are going to write a great CV you need to include your personnel management and HR experience, the HR systems you are familiar with and ideally show your continuing professional development record. To complement your job application, here is an example of a HR cover letter that will get you started.

Try to show some scale on your operational experience with numbers of headcount, value of projects and revenues generated through your initiatives. You also need a way with action words, lots of flair and masses of confidence, because it can be difficult to be objective about your own career history.

You can easily utilise my expert CV writing experience and get a great CV without the trouble of doing it yourself. Click for CV Writing Services.
