Heathrow Airport Jobs

Heathrow Airport jobs are a bright spot on the otherwise very bleak jobs landscape at present. In January 2009 the Transport Secretary Geoff Hoon announced that the UK government support the expansion of Heathrow by building a third runway (2200m) and sixth terminal building.

This decision follows the 2003 white paper on the future of air transport in the UK, and a public consultation in November 2007. This was a controversial decision which met widespread opposition because of its greenhouse gas emissions, destruction of local communities, and noise and air pollution. Yet it could lead to the creation of many, much-needed jobs.

The article below has been included as it explains the situation regarding Heathrow Airport jobs and how to apply for job at Heathrow.

A plan to make Heathrow an international railway exchange has also been proposed with the potential construction of Heathrow Hub railway station with the potential for even more new jobs.
