A
cover letter template that you can follow and copy will make it much easier for you to quickly produce a good CV cover letter that will work for your job applications. There are 3 e cover letter samples to copy on this page. My advice is that you always send a brand new customized cover letter with every CV or job application that you send in. If you send a generic letter it will soon be spotted and your lack of effort will get noticed.
To help you get this crucial element right, I've provided you with three different cover letter samples or covering letter templates on this page:
Go To Letter Sample 1 | Go To Letter Sample 2 | Go To Letter Sample 3
The first cover letter template is for an advertised position in the marketing /events management and PR field. The skills in the bullet points are typical of what you might expect for this sort of job, but if you use this letter, please be sure to insert your own skills or at the very least make sure these apply to you and you can explain each of them satisfactorily.
See some CV Examples to go along with your cover letters or use these two CV templates to help you write your own. In my experience, there is no set pattern or guarantee as to whether your cover letter will get read first, last or not at all, but if you don't send one, your job application is incomplete and in most cases will stop right there.

Please remember my advice to always send a brand new, customized covering letter with every CV, resume or job application that you send in. If you fail to tailor it to the specific requirements of the job application, or if you send a generalized cover letter, perhaps one you already used for another job application and didn't have time to change, it will soon be picked up and your lack of discipline will mean no interview for you. Use my cover letter template samples to get it right first time.
You have permission to copy any cover letter template for your own use and I hope these will help you to produce your own cover letters to a very high standard, but if you don't personalize them, your letter could end up the same as somebody else's and that would not do your job application any good at all. So start with a new blank template every time you submit a job application.
