Accountancy Career Change
My question is: How to write the covering letter? to mention that i am very keen to go back my previous accountancy sector.
My current job is as a senior payroll administrator in NHS field for nearly 5 years service in UK. My previous job in Accountancy sector as a junior accountant for over 5 years, but it was in my country not in UK.
Regard to my real interested job and current personal/family life issue, I do really need to change my career back to Accountancy. My other problem is i haven't finished my relevant qualification for accountancy yet, it was also due to my family commitment. But I am very much confident to work start as accounting assistant in anytime because of my previous experiences in accounts department, i am still remember all the accountancy tasks.
Am I given you a completed info? If not, please do let me know.
Many Thanks

Thank you for your question. When you write your cover letter you must concentrate on the positive aspects and describe what you CAN do without drawing attention to any negatives or things you cannot do.
With your payroll experience and your overseas service as a junior accountant, you should have sufficient skill to be considered as an accounting assistant and perhaps even be sponsored to finish your accountancy qualifications.
There are some examples of cover letters here: Cover Letter Examples and you can also download a free 15 page cover letter writing guide as well.
Read these carefully and this should give you enough information to be able to write a great interview-winning cover letter.
