7 Steps to Career Success
The secret to a successful career change is in following a proven method so that you cover all the bases. If you rush in to let's say, writing your CV or Resume without doing the right things beforehand, you can find your applications being rejected.
I've described this before as being the '7 Steps' to career success and to remind you what they are, here they are again:
1. What Have You Got to Offer?
You have got that piece of expert knowledge or bit of experience that others haven't got and it does make all the difference. We show you how to sort out your unique difference, then you can apply yourself confidently.
2. What Have You Got To Say About Yourself?
We know you have done something that you're proud of in your job or career so there is no need for bragging; just tell it like it is. Talking about yourself isn't easy but a little practice will get you there. This guide shows you how.
3. How To Get Others Working For You:
Learn how to discover whether someone you know, knows someone else that needs your skills. You might be surprised to find that someone you know knows someone else that needs you. So get talking! Everyone knows someone who could be a vital link in your network.
4. Write Your CV or Resume:
This is the one that shows you are the right choice. Don't allow your resume to knock you out of the running. Keep to what is relevant and don't try to include everything you have ever done. CVs and Resumés are great tools but can work against you. Learn why and when NOT to send a Resumé
5. Applying by Letter:
Keep it simple, the best letter is one page with a beginning, middle and an end. The guide shows you how to include examples of how you match up; best done with 4 or 5 bullet points from the original advert.
6. Working the Market Place:
Let everyone else be a busy fool. You will use your time according to the payback you can expect. For example adverts only account for 25% of all successful job moves; therefore only allow 25% of your time on adverts. And we show you precisely what to do with the rest of your time for guaranteed results.
7. Interview Winning Tactics:
Certain types of questions will always crop up. I'll give you the answers you need. Because these certain questions will always crop up, you need answers to these interview questions prepared. Take some time to do this, advice is everywhere so take some - follow the 7 steps guidance and everything else you can read. Then we provide checklists to make sure everything is in place and you haven't overlooked any details.
Now to help you understand and apply these 7 steps thoroughly, I have re-worked the 7 Steps email course which you can receive free if you Click Here for 7-part Steps To Career Success email course.
